Torly Kid has been serving the tween market for more than 4 years now and as we watch our neighborhood children grow, we are experiencing lots of celebrations. One of the celebrations that many kids come to us to help prepare for is the bar/bat mitzvah. TREND ALERT: Plaid Craze for Fall Days!

One of the biggest trends hitting the tween world this fall is PLAID. Yep, those checkered patterned reds and blues mostly associated with school uniforms are the latest look for tween fashion seekers.   Despite its popularity today, plaid (Tartan - the actual pattern) was once forbidden as it served as a sign of rebellion during the 18th Century. Surviving the First Day of School

The first day of school can be exciting and scary. It's filled with "new" adventures, teachers and friends. Here are a few tips to help you get back into the groove of things this year.   1.Organize. - Make sure everything is ready for your first day. Stock up on school supplies and fill your backpack with pens, paper, books and all of your back-to-school essentials.
